When my son was about four years old, I brought him to work like proud parents do, to show him off and have my coworkers tell me how handsome he is.

At that time, we had an entire conference room on site, filled with many members of the HCSB translation team, each devotedly at work, rarely glancing up, coffee cups and red pens poised for an all-nighter. As I was explaining to my young son what all those people were doing in that room, his eyes opened wide and he exclaimed, “Wow, mom. You get to work with people who do the Bible?!” I suppose at four-years-old, he thought of stone tablets, but from that day on, I found myself saying “wow” a lot, too, in the face of his innocent, eager reminder.

"Wow” as in what a privilege to serve the kingdom in this capacity. “Wow” as in what a great team I am surrounded by day in and day out. And now, “wow” as in the HCSB Study Bible. As you visit this site, we will give you a preview of the study Bible, sharing with you advance chapters, contributor info, updates on key issues on our progress, and more.
